11:66 When Our command came, We saved Saleh and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us and saved them from the disgrace of that day. Indeed, your Lord is the All-Powerful, the All-Mighty. [Surah Hud]
Prophet Saleh warned his people of the coming of Allah’s punishment but they disregarded his warning and threat. Their ignorance of the warning had no effect on the coming of the punishment, as it would befall them at the time that Allah appointed for it.
When the time that was appointed for punishing the people of Prophet Saleh came, Allah destroyed the disbelievers among his people and He saved Prophet Saleh and the believers by His mercy. Allah protected Prophet Saleh and the believers from the punishment that befell the disbelievers and from the humiliation and disgrace that befell the disbelievers. Indeed, Allah’s promise will never be broken.
Indeed, your Lord is the All-Powerful, the All-Mighty.
Allah, the All-Merciful, consoled His Prophet Muhammad and the believers. He said to them, ‘Indeed, your Lord, Allah, is the All-Powerful and nothing can stand before His will. Allah is your Lord is the All-Mighty and He will never forsake His believing slaves. He fully takes care of them; He will help them and make them victorious. Thus, do not be sad because of the abuse of the disbelievers. Allah will make you triumphant and He will punish and destroy the disbelievers just as He punished and destroyed the disbelievers among the people of Prophet Saleh.’
