The Noble Quran, Tafsir of Surah Hud, Allah Will Certainly Give Victory to the Believers

11:81 They said, ‘O Lot, Indeed, we are the messengers of your Lord. They will not reach you. So set out with your family in a part of the night and let none of you look back, save your wife, surely it will befall her what will befall them. Indeed, their appointed time is the morning. Is the morning not near?’

When Prophet Lot’s distress reached the highest degree, the doors of heaven opened. Prophet Lot received the good news that Allah would never forsake him and the believers. Allah’s help and support to his beloved and sincere slaves never fail. It may take some time to come for a rationale that Allah, the wise, knows and the weak slaves do not know, but it never fails to come at the time that Allah appointed.

The confrontation between Prophet Lot and the disbelievers among his people reached its climax. This indicates that Allah’s victory was about to come.

The angels said to Prophet Lot, ‘Indeed, we are the messengers of your Lord. Allah sent us to tell you that their destruction is imminent. Thus, do not fear. They will never harm you nor us. Be assured. Then, set out with the believers and your family except for your wife, who will remain with the disbelievers and the torment will befall her with the disbelievers. Leave the town in a part of the night with the believers among your people and let none of you look back lest you should see the torment that will befall on the disbelievers. They will be destroyed in the morning that will come soon.’

Indeed, the morning will come soon. Indeed, Allah’s help to His sincere believers will come soon no matter how long the adversity may last. The human perspective is imperfect. It measures the duration of hardship by its immature insight. It counts days and years, but Allah, the Able and wise, knows what it cannot see with its limited vision and understanding. Allah’s victory and help come at the best moment, and it achieves the best results.

It was narrated that when the angels told Prophet Lot that they came to destroy the disbelievers among his people, he asked them to destroy them immediately. However, they told him that the appointed time for their destruction was the morning, which would come soon.
